I can only hear sound when playing a stream with Windows Media. How to fix that ?

On the Windows Media application playback screen, select Menu > Options > Network tab. Then, select the correct Internet connection speed. You can also try to uncheck the 'Detect connection speed' checkbox.

Please note that sometimes, Windows Media takes a very long time starting the channel and buffering the data. So, be patient.

Are all the channels really working ?

Yes!, at least at the time of publication of the latest software version.
Here are the reasons why a link may not work:

  1. The player you’re using cannot play the stream: for each stream, an icon in Diamond TV indicates the player that can play the stream. There is also a list of channels on the web site.
  2.  The version of the player you’re using is not the one that was used to test the streams:
  3. The channel only emits at certain times of the day (this should be indicated in the channel comment, else send me an email)
  4. There is a country limitation on the channel:you cannot do anything except faking your IP !
  5.  The feed is temporarily stopped: try again later
  6. The channel is really dead: report it to me after you've checked all the previous actions

A channel does not play. What did I do wrong ?

First, check that you are still connected to the Internet.
Then, try to change the media player program that is used to play the stream. Windows Media is installed by default on all Pocket PC devices, but it's not the best application to play video streams. Download and install TCPMP or buy CorePlayer.

To change the player, simply select among one of the installed video player  programs when you add a channel in Diamond TV.

If nothing works, you have to understand that Diamond TV is only a directory of available TV streams on the net. If a TV operator decides to change the address of its video feed or stops being available online, Diamond TV cannot do anything about that.

The registration code does not work, what can I do ?

Check that the owner name or device unique id that you provided has been correctly sent. Then, check that the registration code has been entered correctly, take care of the 0 (zero) and O (letter) difference.

You can use the MyMobiler application to do cut and paste between your PC and your Pocket PC.

Where can I find the password for adult channels ?

If you have bought version 2.0 or higher of Diamond TV, it has been sent in your registration email along with your registration code.

If you have bought a previous version of the application, the default password is 512.

TCPMP does not play the streams, what's missing ?

Some of the streams require a TCPMP plug-in to play wmv files correctly. Follow this link to download a zip file containing some dll that you have to copy in you TCPMP installation directory.

Where can I download TCPMP ?

If you have WM 6.1, follow this link to download a special build of TCPMP

Follow this link to download version 0.72 RC1 of TCPMP

Diamond TV does not detect that I have TCPMP or CorePlayer installed. What's wrong ?

Diamond TV looks for links in the list of installed programs to find CorePlayer and TCPMP. If you have removed or moved the links, Diamond TV cannot detect that those programs are installed. Reinstall them and everything will be ok.

How can I add my own channels ?

There are plenty of sites on the net that have media streams available. When you find a stream that works on your PC using windows Media Player, ask for the properties of the stream. In the dialog box, you'll find the url of the video stream. You can then try to use this url on you Pocket PC using Media Player or any other video player. If it works correctly, you can enter this stream in Diamond TV using the custom channel function that is available in the Add Channel window.
